A series of organic forms in unglazed porcelain have been lightly carved and textured, leaving the matte white surface of the clay body as a visual link to the coastal dunescape of South Australia. Sterling Silver, the foundation material of my practice, is embossed with the texture of delicate woven cloth capturing a symbolic trace of the ephemeral fabric of the everyday. Brushing some pieces with pumice powder leaving a near white pale pearlescent glow is in contrast to the deep blue-black lustre of elements.
